 Taishi, the young professionals group from The Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens, presents a truly hands-on workshop in taiko, the traditional Japanese practice of drumming. Before the drumming begins, the workshop will introduce the history of taiko. Participants will also be taught the intricate relationship between sound and movement. While drumming, participants will experience how their body movement is connected to nature, as well as those drumming with them.  The workshop will be conducted by top performers of Fushu Daiko, recognized by Seiichi Tanaka, the master of San Francisco Taiko Dojo who brought taiko to the U.S. and who trained senior members of Fushu Daiko. =0D=0A=
