After the address, hotel wait staff outfitted with night vision goggles will serve a decadent three-course dinner. Provisions have been made for vegetarians and dietary restrictions. =0D=0A= The event is named after Dr. Thomas Hartig who brought NFB-NEWSLINE, newspapers via the telephone, to blind persons across the country and who was an inspiration to us all. He never let blindness prevent him from reaching out to others. Dr. Hartig passed away last year, but lives on through his work and the Thomas Hartig “Inspirational Community Member” Award. After dessert, the lights will be brought up, and the award will be presented to a blind individual whom has similarly overcome obstacles and is an inspiration to others. =0D=0A= Individual tickets are available for $50, or a private table for seven reserved for $500. Children 12 and under are not permitted due to safety considerations. Tickets can be purchased by sending a check to The: =0D=0A= Florida Outreach Center for the Blind =0D=0A= 1280 N.
